Flavia Martini
Roma
September 28 to October 31, 2022
Text
Rome always seemed to me imperfectly perfect, it does not seek neatness or order, its colors, its light, its walls peeled by the passage of time, its architecture elegant and simple at the same time, even in the baroque period, penetrated from the first moment. my being in a visceral way and in this exhibition particularly, having changed the texture from paper to linen, something magical occurred that made me think and remember Rome while I made each work. I even had the need, after almost two years of pandemic, to visit it again and feel it and so I did.
For all these affective and sensory evocations, this exhibition that I titled Rome speaks of Rome.
