You may have seen works by Daniel Stroomer. The support of his works are urban structures, murals and graffiti of vibrant colors with overlapping planes and thick lines that embrace the walls of the city. His monumental proposals position us as tiny observers of his geometric compositions. In Structures, the artist invites us to explore from a more intimate aspect his way of observing the world; from his fascination with architecture he invites us to experience his works on another scale, to explore the structures in their multiple dimensions and to pay special attention to the interstices that exist between them.

In the exhibition, an atmosphere of light and shadow takes us away from everyday life and places us inside the structures; to immerse oneself in the artist’s pieces is to visit many universes in the same space. Inspired by the morphological elements of the city, he proposes a communion between disciplines, painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, he plays with the primary idea of form and alters its construction; at times he reveals its skeleton, at others he superimposes planes varying the volumetry and sometimes the surface appropriates the form.

Stroomer seeks to break into our everyday life and the way we perceive what we inhabit. He explores the relationship between structure and chaos, balance and brutality. Each work is a reflection on how architectural elements can be broken down and reconfigured to reveal new perspectives and meanings. From an intimate and personal position, he challenges us to rethink the notions of space, perspective and function, finding new ways to appreciate and understand the concept of structure.
