In her collages Florencia Gechter finds a space where she has freedom to transgress, where anything goes. It is with the charge and drive of paper full of history – found paper, gift paper – that the work is put together: each piece has a connotation, each form a past, each piece placed next to the other a new meaning.
His work is the place where the recognizable and the bizarre come together. In her work, Florencia invents different worlds for which she has no plan. Where nothing is predetermined, where you are allowed to be whoever you want to be. In an arduous process, the artist advances intuitively, composes without knowing what will come: she explores her being, faces her conflicts and frees herself in the form of art.
