Rebeca Mendoza
El placer de lo imperceptible

Curatorial text
The works in this exhibition were created from an apparent sensitivity to colors, structures, shapes and textures. Rebeca Mendoza develops a language in which she rejoices, based on dialogue with matter and an understanding of what happens from the depths.
In this exhibition, everything vibrates chorally and calls for a body-to-body encounter with the works. They capture our gaze and question us, that is the procedure. The formal attracts you completely and what appears later is the pleasure of the imperceptible. All this information that emerges from the proximity with the works, which develop their edges, are the subtle gestures that arise from that aforementioned dialogue that establishes the artist with the material. That are not exhausted at the formal level, because the works tell something more.
These lures to feel things and ask ourselves other questions are the aesthetic forms of enjoyment during that constant search thrown into the world. Rebeca dedicates herself to the exploration of materialities and the voracity of creating work to navigate the different states and possibilities of her being-there. In short, like Vinciane, Rebeca uses art to do philosophy in another way.
