Rebeca Mendoza

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1967.

She graduated in 1990 from the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón, with a degree in Fine Arts (1985-1999). Then, furthered her studies with masters of Argentine art, such as Aurelio Machi and Alberto Del Monte. In 1994, Rebeca traveled to New York, where she was invited to host a solo show in Juno Gallery, and then decided to stay and set up her workshop in the Lower East Side Manhattan, in the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural Center. For six years, she hosted exhibitions regularly in galleries and alternative spaces, and was invited to work in community programs of public schools for artists. In 2000 she returns to Argentina, where she continues to persue her art, and develops educational programs for artists. Her work is represented by OTTO Galería in Buenos Aires, and Artemisa Gallery in the US.

She currently lives and works in Buenos Aires.
